Sustainable Development

It takes 60 - 100 years to fill the gap when one tree falls in the jungle, and during the past 35 years over half of Mexico’s and Brazil’s rainforests have been cleared. For each lost tree there is microscopically less rainfall, more soil runoff, warmer reef water, less food and shelter, and fewer and fewer species. As latecomers to this ecosystem, we must conserve, observe, enjoy and learn from it and intrude as little as possible. It is our aim to go to extreme lengths to preserve the natural beauty of the areas in which we have invested in and to protect the local flora and fauna and its natural bird and animal habitat.
